June Favourites

17:24:00

Hi guys,

I'm so sorry for not posting as much as normal this month.
I've got my June favourites for you today, I hope you enjoy it. Let me know your favourite thing from this month in the comments :)

Topshop 5 Years of Beauty - Lips in Nevada

The 5 year anniversary products weren’t being sold at my local Topshop *sob* so I ordered this from the website. I did however check the colour of this in store first as from experience I know the colours appear very different to the images shown. This is a gorgeous nude-pink colour, which I know is very popular, I can see why, I love it! It is very pigmented as well as being super creamy and moisturising, it is stunning and I have already worn it loads since getting it. Also the special anniversary packaging is amazing – it’s a beautiful rose gold colour and looks fabulous.

Simple kind to skin protecting moisture cream

I have previously had trouble with my skin being irritated by my moisturiser. This, however, is perfect. It rubs in really quickly, you only need a little to cover the whole face AND it is SPF 30 in it. I’m not a huge fan of putting sun cream on my face (who is really?!) but as this is in moisturiser form it sinks in very quickly and doesn’t feel sticky on the face. It has become part of my morning routine, which means I am always protected from the sun (unless I forget it, which is hardly ever. Pfft…)

German exchange

From the 13th to the 20th June I had my German exchange staying with us. I got on really well with my exchange, as well as pretty much all of the other exchanges that were here. I really enjoyed the two weeks we had together and I know I have made some friends for life. It was such an amazing experience that saying goodbye was very emotional, especially knowing that I might not see some of them again… *insert tears here*
I will definitely keep in touch with people and if you have the opportunity to do an exchange I would definitely recommend it as I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Fujifilm Instax Mini 8

I have this in blue and I have always loved it, I have just used it more than normal this month. We had a big party for my Dad’s birthday this month with me and my cousins ‘official’ photographers, taking photos of people as they arrived. I also used it loads while my exchange was here, there’s just something special about having the photos print out there and then. I also think the quality of the photos is quite good, especially if I remember to put the camera on the right light setting. The only downside to these is that the film is quite expensive…

Thanks for reading

  2. I really should get round to trying out a Topshop lipstick at some point! I don't know what it is but because it's from a highstreet clothing store I automatically think it's going to be like those awful, poor quality fake lipsticks you get when you're younger haha - but enough people sing their praises so maybe I should give them a go!
